1971-75 full size GM scissor top cars can be a hard to make operate properly, one big reason can be because of the ball joint pivot brackets. These brackets attach to the #2 bow and are necessary to make sure the convertible top frame operates properly, take a look at yours and if they are loose or falling apart here is good place to start. They are sold as a pair and come with the fasteners.
